We are currently seeking a dynamic M&A Intern .

As an M&A Intern at Critical Software, you will gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of mergers and acquisitions. You will support our M&A team in various stages of the deal process, from initial research to final integration. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your analytical skills and gain valuable industry insights.

What do we expect from you?

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in building and maintaining financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities. Support the analysis of financial statements and valuation of target companies.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets. Prepare research reports and presentations.
  • Due Diligence: Participate in the due diligence process by collecting and analyzing data on target companies. Assist in evaluating business operations and financial performance.
  • Deal Support: Help prepare investment memos, coordinate with legal and financial advisors, and support negotiations. Assist in the preparation of transaction documents.
  • Integration Assistance: Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration of acquired companies. Monitor post-acquisition performance and provide ongoing support.
  • Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations to the M&A team and other stakeholders. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively.

What makes you a good candidate for this role?

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis. Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to synthesize information and provide insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
